Executive Assistant to the CEO

Company: Africa Tech Hub Ltd.
Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Work Schedule: Monday–Saturday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Annual Gross Salary: ₦1,800,000 – ₦2,400,000, subject to applicable statutory deductions
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer

About the Role

Africa Tech Hub Ltd. is seeking a highly organised, intellectually curious and versatile professional to serve as Executive Assistant to the CEO.

This is a multidisciplinary role combining executive assistance, research, writing, knowledge management, programme development, editorial production, project coordination and digital-content support.

The successful candidate will coordinate the CEO’s priorities, engagements, communications and follow-up actions while supporting approved activities across the wider portfolio of businesses, initiatives, programmes and platforms founded, led or managed by the CEO.

The role is suited to someone who can manage executive-office responsibilities, conduct detailed research, develop high-quality written materials, coordinate projects and interviews, organise knowledge assets and ensure that assigned actions are completed accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

Executive Assistance and Coordination

  • Manage the CEO’s calendar, meetings, appointments, correspondence, priorities, travel arrangements, briefing materials and confidential records.
  • Coordinate internal and external communications, prepare meeting agendas and summaries, maintain action and decision trackers, and follow up with stakeholders to ensure that commitments and deadlines are completed.
  • Support executive engagements, events, interviews and other time-sensitive activities across the CEO’s wider portfolio.

Research, Writing and Thought-Leadership Support

  • Conduct research and prepare accurate, decision-useful briefs for articles, speeches, presentations, masterclasses, meetings, interviews, panel discussions, training programmes and consulting engagements.
  • Conduct structured knowledge-extraction interviews with the CEO and develop first drafts of articles, newsletters, speeches, book chapters, scripts, position papers, presentation narratives and executive summaries.
  • Verify names, dates, statistics, quotations, sources and claims, and ensure that no material is published or presented as the CEO’s position without approval.

Knowledge Management and Intellectual-Property Development

  • Capture, organise and preserve the CEO’s ideas, professional experiences, frameworks, lessons, research and approved content.
  • Convert recurring ideas and methodologies into reusable frameworks, models, toolkits, templates, workbooks, assessments, learning programmes and signature presentations.
  • Maintain a searchable, organised and version-controlled knowledge library containing approved profiles, articles, speeches, projects, case studies, testimonials, training materials, recordings, transcripts, presentations and research resources.

SkillUp Research and Programme Development

  • Coordinate research into the learning needs, preferences, barriers and expectations of Gen Z participants through desk research, surveys, interviews, focus groups, programme-data review and competitive analysis.
  • Develop research instruments, coordinate engagement with approved respondent groups, analyse findings and identify meaningful differences across learner segments.
  • Translate findings into recommendations covering curriculum priorities, learning methods, delivery channels, affordability, mentorship, participant experience, engagement and retention.
  • Support the development and implementation of learner personas, curriculum maps, participant journey maps, pilot programmes and monitoring and evaluation frameworks.

Edge360 Editorial and Interview Production

  • Research and recommend credible individuals and organisations for interviews and editorial features, and maintain a structured database of prospective guests and contributors.
  • Conduct background and reputational research, develop interview briefs and questions, and coordinate invitations, guest communication, scheduling, consent documentation, logistics, recordings and production files.
  • Support the production of transcripts, magazine features, online articles, newsletters, executive summaries, audio, video and social-media content while maintaining the interview pipeline and editorial archive.

Market, Client and Business-Development Research

  • Research relevant industries, sectors, markets, prospective clients, competitors, decision-makers, stakeholder concerns and emerging business, workforce, regulatory and technology trends.
  • Prepare market-opportunity, prospective-client and meeting-preparation briefs to support business-development and consulting activities across the CEO’s wider portfolio.
  • Support proposals and presentations by developing first drafts of problem statements, credentials, case studies, service descriptions, executive briefs and presentation narratives.
  • Organise findings from approved stakeholder interviews, surveys and discovery activities into clear and useful summaries.

Project Documentation and Client-Education Content

  • Maintain organised project files, document indexes and version-control systems, and document meetings, workshops, interviews, decisions, emerging themes, approved outcomes and follow-up actions.
  • Develop evidence-based case studies covering challenges, interventions, methodologies, results, testimonials and lessons.
  • Convert approved technical recommendations into executive guides, implementation handbooks, frequently asked questions, user guides and change-communication materials, subject to appropriate technical review and approval.

Training and Learning-Content Development

  • Research approved training subjects and develop programme briefs, facilitator guides, participant workbooks, presentation drafts, case studies, practical exercises, assessments and action plans.
  • Document learning outcomes, organise participant feedback, prepare post-training reports and capture approved success stories.
  • Maintain training and learning materials for appropriate reuse, adaptation and future programme development.

Digital Content, Newsletter and Visibility Support

  • Support the implementation of the CEO’s approved thought-leadership and digital-content strategy and maintain a consolidated editorial calendar.
  • Prepare platform-appropriate drafts in the approved voice, repurpose approved speeches, interviews, workshops, articles and professional insights, and coordinate content approval, scheduling and publication.
  • Manage newsletter activities from research and drafting through approval, distribution and performance analysis.
  • Monitor approved audience engagement, identify relevant questions and opportunities, and prepare recommended responses for review.
  • Research appropriate conferences, awards, publications, podcasts, panels, speaking engagements, media interviews and partnership opportunities, and prepare related speaker, media and profile materials.

Education and Experience

Candidates should possess:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent demonstrable competence in Communications, Business Administration, Education, Media, Humanities, Social Sciences or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrable experience or strong capability in one or more of the following:
    • Executive or administrative support
    • Research and analytical writing
    • Content development and editing
    • Interviewing and editorial production
    • Programme or project coordination
    • Knowledge management
    • Digital publishing or social-media management
  • Experience in surveys, learning-content development, client research, newsletters, data interpretation or proposal development will be an advantage.

Exceptional candidates who can demonstrate the required competencies through a strong portfolio, practical assignments or relevant project experience may also be considered.

Other Requirements

  • The role is based in Lagos and operates under a hybrid work arrangement.
  • Occasional work outside normal working hours may be required for executive meetings, interviews, events, media production or urgent assignments.
  • The role may require up to 30% out-of-town travel, subject to operational requirements and prior approval.
  • The successful candidate will have access to sensitive executive, personal, client, commercial and intellectual information. Strict confidentiality is mandatory during and after employment.
  • The role initially has no direct reports but may coordinate approved consultants, contributors, vendors or production personnel for specific assignments.
